Violence towards Boca fans took away the preview of the final

A group of Fluminense supporters broke into a section of Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday afternoon with bottles, sticks and projectiles and the police repressed them and launched tear gas. At night, the violence escalated.

The preview of the Copa Libertadores final between Boca and Fluminense left football aside to enthrone violence as the protagonist of a Thursday in which many "xeneizes" fans were attacked by their Fluminense peers and the local police themselves who repressed with tear gas and detained several Auriazule supporters.
