The pregnant woman who was shot with her 10-year-old son in Rosario died

The 29-year-old pregnant woman who was shot two weeks ago in the Santa Fe city of Rosario by two attackers who fled on a motorcycle without stealing anything, an attack in which she lost the baby she was carrying, died today from the multiple injuries suffered, reported judicial sources.

 

The Public Prosecutor's Office (MPA) of Santa Fe stated that the woman died on Wednesday morning at the Rosario Emergency Hospital, where she had been hospitalized for multiple gunshot wounds since the night of September 7.

 

In the attack, which occurred around 10:30 p.m. that day after the woman got off a bus at the intersection of Baigorria and José Julián Pérez streets, the woman's 10-year-old son was also injured and was out of danger. , sources recalled.

 

As a result of the armed attack, the woman, identified as Sabrina Vanina Maturano (29), lost her 36-week pregnancy.

 

The doctors had announced that the young woman had a reserved health prognosis due to the shots she received in the abdomen, chest and legs.

 

 

How the investigation continues

According to judicial spokespersons, the perpetrators of the shooting of Maturano were two people who were traveling on a motorcycle that was identified in the investigation.

 

However, the two possible perpetrators of the armed attack, which turned into homicide, have not yet been identified, the informants added.

 

According to the investigation, the victim got off a bus that night with her 10-year-old son, when two people on a motorcycle appeared at the scene and shot the woman without, apparently, a robbery attempt.

 

Experts determined that the pregnant woman received at least 15 gunshot wounds.

 

The attackers fled the scene on the motorcycle after shooting.

 

The Rosario Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that "there are ongoing investigative measures carried out by the AIC Homicide Brigade (Criminal Investigation Agency) to determine the motivation for the attack and identify the attackers."

 

Although the perpetrators were not identified, investigators determined that the attack was directed at Maturano directly.
